Hackensack, NJ, September 22, 2015 – Eastern DataComm and NJ-GMIS announced they are hosting two seminars in October aimed at improving emergency communications for school districts and municipalities.
The seminars will be held at two different locations in New Jersey, and are scheduled for 10am – 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 20th in Rutherford, NJ and Thursday, October 22nd in Bridgewater, NJ. Lunch will be served at the events.
The seminars aim to educate school administrators, municipal leaders, law enforcement and IT personnel on improving overall communications for a lockdown or other emergency event, and ways to better protect students, staff and teachers. The event will cover the many areas of safety concerns within school districts and municipalities, and discuss the technologies that can solve these challenges.
According to a recent article, the NJ State Police School Safety Task Force, as part of a multi-agency task force, issued recommendations to schools that include improving response times to emergencies and improving school-based emergency communications capabilities.
“From lockdowns and 911 calls to video surveillance and emergency notifications systems, we have provided districts with cost-effective solutions to making their schools safer and open the lines of communication between teachers and parents,” says Paul Jenne, Sales Manager at Eastern DataComm. “Safety will always be a concern within a school district, and we hope that these seminars will help our clients and prospects fully understand what they need to do to ensure that their district has the technology that they need.”
Eastern DataComm will also demo their new Lockdown and Emergency Notification System – a comprehensive system that fully addresses what a school district or municipality needs in case of an emergency.
There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Those wishing to attend can view the complete seminar details and register on the Eastern DataComm website.
