In this complimentary workshop, industry experts share insights regarding best practices school leaders lean upon to improve the communications and physical security of their communities.
Our presenters detail the challenges a school faces when it comes to communications and safety. From managing daily and emergency communications to finding ways to properly monitor and process ingress, egress, visitors, and intruders, underlying technology systems make all the difference. This is especially true when dealing with emergency situations when every second is critical to finding a positive resolution.
In addition to examining how technology solutions can enhance daily communication, our presenters will also explore situations where there have been significant breakdowns or failures in message delivery. Case studies referencing tragedies like Uvalde, Sandy Hook, Parkland, and Covenant will be explored in detail to highlight what went wrong, why it went wrong, and how best to prevent devastation from befalling your campus. Finally, presenters discuss both the physical security and communications solutions that can be employed in a strategic effort to streamline daily and urgent message delivery.
Guest expert Adam Drew, School Resource Officer (SRO), law enforcement professional, and founder of Three Corners, a consulting firm focused on K–12 safety training and workshops in the New York and New Jersey area, and Eastern DataComm’s National School Safety Advisor Paul Jenne will share practical guidance and useful insights that will positively impact how you safeguard your school community and keep communication flowing efficiently and effectively when every moment counts.

Paul Jenne leads business development at Eastern DataComm, a safety and communications company that has served school districts, businesses, and municipalities for over 30 years. As a father of three, school safety is a topic that is near and dear to Paul’s heart. Paul has worked with hundreds of schools, teaching them how to create safer environments by leveraging effective technology. His goal is to help customers improve their day-to-day communications, but most importantly, assist them with finding cost-effective technological solutions to ensure they are best equipped to keep their communities safe.

Having served for over 20 years, Lieutenant Adam Drew is a certified police officer and school resource officer (SRO). His tenure in these roles has equipped him with an extensive understanding of the vulnerabilities schools face with their safety and communications plans, processes, and technologies. He has dedicated his professional career to serving school communities to help them address many of the evolving challenges they face. With his expertise in school safety and law enforcement background, he provides insights and actionable recommendations to districts throughout the state to make their communities safe places for growth and learning. Specifically, Adam has worked directly with education leaders including school administrators, teachers, students, and parents on a wide range of problem-solving solutions. His consulting firm, Three Corners, specializes in K–12 school districts training and workshops engineered to improve the safety profile of schools across the New Jersey/New York metro area.
