With operations spanning three districts—New Jersey, Farmingdale (NY), and Cary (NC)—we deliver integrated communication and security solutions that help organizations protect people, assets, and infrastructure. As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Director to elevate our brand, enhance lead generation, and strengthen our positioning in the security and communications industry.
Position Overview
The Marketing Director will lead all marketing strategy and execution for the company, driving growth, brand visibility, and demand generation across our three regional markets. This role will be both strategic and hands-on, focusing on building marketing programs, managing vendor and partner relationships, and ensuring cohesive branding and messaging across all channels. The Marketing Director will not have direct reports, but will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to execute campaigns, events, and initiatives that align with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy that supports company growth and sales objectives across all service lines (physical and network security, voice systems, emergency notification technologies).
- Drive brand positioning and awareness in key markets and verticals, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform strategic adjustments.
- Track marketing performance metrics, analyze ROI, and present reporting to the executive team.
Digital Marketing & Demand Generation
- Plan, create, and manage digital campaigns including email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, and PPC initiatives aligned with monthly lead-generation goals.
- Review and optimize PPC campaigns to meet monthly targets.
- Manage Google My Business (GMB) presence and weekly updates.
- Support lead-generation programs and coordinate consistent CRM follow-up through HubSpot and marketing automation tools.
- Oversee database management, including HubSpot contact list maintenance and campaign send-list updates.
Content Development & Brand Communications
- Lead the creation of high-quality marketing content including blogs, newsletters (internal and external), case studies, flyers, and solution/vertical-specific collateral.
- Write and edit copy for campaigns, blogs, events, proposals, and promotions.
- Maintain brand consistency and compliance across all marketing materials and communication channels.
- Provide plain-text email templates to the sales team to align outbound messaging with marketing-generated content.
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Oversee social content planning, composition, review, and scheduling across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Manage coordination with industry associations, charitable partners, media outlets, and OEM partners to increase visibility and engagement.
Events, Tradeshows & Partner Marketing
- Organize and coordinate company presence at industry trade shows, conferences, and regional events.
- Draft and submit proposals for speaking engagements and thought-leadership sessions.
- Manage vendor and manufacturer partner relationships, including recurring check-ins.
- Handle MDF/DMF requests, submission processes, and reimbursement documentation.
- Liaise with OEMs, association partners, and other partner organizations for co-marketing opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to align marketing messaging with technical capabilities and customer needs.
- Collaborate with district teams in New Jersey, Farmingdale (NY), and Cary (NC) to tailor marketing programs to local markets.
- Oversee the creation and production of marketing materials, proposals, and client-facing collateral in coordination with internal teams.
Budgeting & Administrative Oversight
- Review, manage, and reconcile the marketing budget, including cataloging expenses.
- Ensure accurate documentation of marketing spend, MDF usage, and partner-funded initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5-8 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in technology, security, or telecommunications.
- Strong understanding of B2B marketing within the security or IT infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated success managing integrated marketing campaigns with measurable results.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects across regions.
- Willingness to travel between districts (approximately 25–35%).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of physical and network security technologies, IP phone systems, and emergency communications.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, ).
- Experience developing thought leadership content such as white papers, webinars, and case studies.
- Strong analytical and project management abilities.
