68th annual PASBO conference

Eastern DataComm will be at the 68th annual PASBO conference, which takes place from March 14th through the 17th. This year, the conference will be held in the Poconos at the luxurious Kalahari Resorts and Convention Center.
The event features more than 100 seminars, mini-seminars, help desks, and computer labs. PASBO is focused on strategies you can use in all facets of school business. And, with networking opportunities and over 250 booths featuring products and services for your LEA, you won’t want to miss this event.

The Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference (PETE&C)

From February 12th to the 14th, Eastern DataComm will be in the Pocono mountains at the beautiful Kalahari Resorts and Convention Center for The Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo and Conference (PETE&C).
The statewide event offers programs on technology in the education field and introduces attendees to hundreds of exhibitors as they share their latest and greatest technology products and services. Widely attended by teachers, administrators, technology directors, school board members, and other key stakeholders, the experience features concurrent sessions and student showcases among other opportunities for information and insight.

NJASA’s TECHSPO ‘23

Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center
Our Eastern DataComm team will be at TECHSPO ‘23, a conference hosted by the New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA), from January 25th through the 27th.
This year’s event will be held at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City and is the largest of its kind in the state of New Jersey. TECHSPO attracts chief education officers, school board members, school leaders, curriculum directors, and teachers from across the state. And, as its name suggests, TECHSPO is a wonderful opportunity to explore a diverse showcase of digital technologies and gain the practical advice you need to use them right away.
You’ll find our team on the exhibit hall floor, showcasing our LENS + OPTICS lockdown notification solution throughout the conference in booths #127 and #129.
And we’re excited to announce that we’ll be presenting our workshop on Thursday, January 26 from 1:30 pm–2:30 pm.
Deconstructing Uvalde:
Leveraging Technology to Improve Your School Safety Ecosystem
on Thursday, January 26 from 1:30 pm–2:30 pm.
Our presenters, Paul Jenne of Eastern DataComm and Mike Jordan, Superintendent of Maywood Public School District, will focus this session on exploring the challenges a school faces during a lockdown situation or active shooter event, referencing the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, as a case study. The purpose of the session will be to share with our audience how best to leverage technology to improve response time and reduce human error in situations where every second counts.

PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference

Eastern DataComm, in partnership with global communications leader, Mitel, is pleased to announce that we’ll be exhibiting at this year’s PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference.
The Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators and Pennsylvania School Boards Association will host this multi-day event with programming designed to inspire and inform local school board directors and school administrators with learning opportunities, networking, service and product offerings, and much more.
The event runs from October 30th through November 1st and this year the event will be hosted at Kalahari Resorts in the Poconos.
You’ll find members of our Eastern DataComm team at booth #720 where we’ll be sharing more about how best to leverage technology to create safer school environments for students, faculty, and staff. Eastern DataComm, a trusted Mitel Gold partner, is pleased to announce that we’ll be exhibiting and conducting an educational presentation at this year’s New Jersey School Board Association Workshop 2022.
The NJSBA serves school boards and educational leaders by providing advocacy, training, and direct services. Each year, the three-day event offers school leaders and education professionals a variety of opportunities from career development to information on policy updates to insight on new products and services that benefit school communities.
The NJSBA Workshop runs from October 24th through the 26th, hosted at The Atlantic City Convention Center.
Eastern Datacomm is excited to present What Schools Must Do to Prepare for Lockdown at this year’s conference. This educational workshop will begin on Tuesday, October 25th at 11am in Conference Room 418.
Our co-presenters, Eastern DataComm’s Paul Jenne and Superintendent of Hillsdale Public Schools, Robert Lombardy Jr., Ed.S. will share the key elements of the school safety ecosystem and the role of notification solutions, phone and paging systems, access control, and video surveillance in responding effectively to an emergency. This educational workshop is designed to assist school leaders in understanding how best to leverage technology to create safer school environments for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

We’ve partnered with Mitel, an industry leader in telecommunications, to offer you a thorough and informative presentation that dives deep into the ways that phone systems and Eastern DataComm’s own Lockdown and Emergency Notification System (LENS) more effectively ensure the safety of your school district’s students, faculty, and staff.
